A day at the park

I feel like I have gotten behind in keeping this updated. Make sure to scroll down to see all of my new posts.

Wow! Dylan and I have had such a busy weekend. On Friday, Dylan had his picture taken with his three cousins on the Ashment side. Annie, my sister-in-law, was having it done for my fahter-in-law's birthday. Happy Birthday Kevin! We celebrated all weekend! Dawn, Isaac's Aunt (Kevin's sister) came to visit from Utah and it was so fun to have her here! On Monday, Dylan and I, (poor Isaac had to work) met up with them at the new Swift-Cantrell Park in Kennesaw. It was so nice! They had the coolest swings there. It had a 5-point seat belt on it, it was sort of like swinging in a car seat. They looked so comfortable and I think Dylan would have loved to swing there all day. It was such a great day to be outside!
Here is Dylan with his cousins. Aren't they cute? The joys of swinging!

Dylan and Cole enjoyed swinging with each other! My own set of wheels!

Look at me! I'm hot stuff! I can drive standing up!

I guess it's okay if Cole wants to ride with me!
I think that Cole is starting to feel a little carsick!

Go away! I'm driving solo!

It turns out that Dylan is a bully! He enjoyed playing inside the car so much that he didn't want to share. Isn't that funny? Poor Cole!

All in all it really was fun and I hope we can go back on a regular basis.

If your happy and you know it clap your hands!

Finally! I swear I have the most stubborn child! Dylan decided that he wanted to start clapping today. It was so cute! He kept on looking at his hands, and was like WOW! look what I'm doing. Hooray for Dylan!

How funny- Dylan fell asleep in his highchair!

Dylan actually fell asleep in his highchair the other day! I thought it was so funny! I had to capture it. I didn't realize he was that tired. I was getting his bottle ready so that I could put him down for his nap but the poor kid couldn't make it! The funny thing is that this happened more than once on the same day.

The new Eternity Fall gowns

My Mom told me today that the new fall gowns were in from Eternity. She loves to get feedback from her daughters, and I thought it would be interesting to see which ones you like. I love looking at wedding gowns and now that my Mom owns Lorna's it makes me feel like I get to relive the excitement of dress shopping. Here they are:

Lost and found

Ever since I have had Dylan, I have become so bad at losing things, or shall I say that I am even worse at losing things than I was before. My cell phone seems like it is constantly getting lost which can become a major problem because we don't use a home phone. Last week I was convinced that I had lost it for good. After searching the entire house and calling every place that I had gone to that day there was still no sign of it. What's worse is that Isaac had to go out of town the next day, so that would leave me completely cut off from the world. I'd planned to go visit my family while he was gone and by the time I got there, they were so happy to see that I was alive since I had not talked to them in a while. My phone turned up at the library. Who would have guessed that? Sorry everyone! Maybe one day I'll get it all together.

I had such a fun time hanging out with my Mom, and Cassidie, and Kara. We had lunch dates, visited with Mom at Lorna's, shopping, and enjoyed Pride and Prejudice together. What a classic! What girl could not fall in love with such a good story. It seemed even better watching it on the big screen at my parents house. How fun! I didn't get any shots of us together but I took some cute pictures of Dylan on the rocking horse again. Here are some more cute pictures taken a while ago that are too cute to not post.
Dylan loves taking a bath!

This face is one that I used to do when I was a baby.

My new haircut!

Monday I decided to change up my hair a little bit. I took Dylan with me (who was surprisingly pretty good) to the salon and my friend Laura highlighted it and cut it. I've been keeping my highlights a bit more toned down since I had Dylan but, I figured why not change up the haircut a little bit. I think it was probably a good 6-7 inches that we took off. I kind of surprised myself because I was planning on just a little trim because I have been trying to grow it out. I guess that I'll just have to start all over again with that. Oh well! I am enjoying volume that shorter hair has to offer.

Isaac, my sweet husband

Holly suggested (tagged) me to do this, and I was so glad! I've wanted to do this before but I didn't want people to get tired of me being so lovey dovey. I love you Isaac!

What is his name? Isaac

How long have you been married? A little over two years.

How long did you date? 10 months, engaged for 3 months. I gave him an ultimatum that if he did not allow me at least 3 months to plan our wedding which we planned to do it during his spring break, then he'd have to wait until the summer before we could get married.

Who eats more sweets? That's a toss up. I have a big sweet tooth, but I have nothing on Isaac when it comes to ice cream. I bet he could eat a whole carton in one sitting if he wanted to.

Who does the laundry? I do. Unless, I get behind and Isaac realizes that all of his work clothes are dirty. Oops!

Who pays the bills? Isaac. I think he wants me to get to the point where I'll start to do them, but he's been paying them for a while now and knows when they're all due.

Who is taller? Isaac. He's 6 ft. and I'm 5'7''.

Who is smarter? Isaac. He loves history, and is such a great writer. He also is very knowledgeable with church history, the scriptures, and any sort of random tidbit of knowledge.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I used to until we moved now I'm on the left and he's on the right. I like being close to the door so that I can get Dylan if he needs me.

Who mows the lawn? Someone else! I bet he will when ever we get to the point where we have too.

Who is more athletic? Isaac, for sure. I am such a wimp.

Who drives when you’re together? Mostly Isaac. I'm horrible at driving in the night and rain. I think he feels safer when he is in control. Although, sometimes I like to switch it up and drive.

Who cooks dinner? That would be me. Unless it is a very rare occasion.

Who is more stubborn? I would say Isaac, but, I'm sure he would say me!

Who kissed who first? I'm sure it was Isaac, but I can't really remember. Is that horrible? It all just blends in to me!

Who asked who out? Isaac asked me. We met at a church dance by a mutual friend. That night he asked me out for the following evening. I had plans but going out with him seemed to be a better offer. So, the following evening we went to Dave and Busters for our first date.

Who said I love you first? Isaac. I knew I loved him before that but I was to old fashioned and chicken to say it first.

Who proposed? Isaac. I told the story for my valentines day post. It is one of my all time favorite days of my life!

Who is more sensitive? Me! I used to not be very sensitive at all (when I was really little I fake cried at my grandpa's funeral). When I was pregnant I would cry at EVERYTHING! When I was pregnant, I'd look at Isaac and my eyes would well up with tears and I would tell him how much I loved him (I also cried at Finding Nemo!). But I am still pretty sensitive now without my hormones being all crazy with pregnancy.

Who has more siblings? I do. I have 4 and he has 3.

How many kids do you want? 5 is the magic number. My mom had 5 and my Grandma had 5. I've always said that I would have 5 too. But, I guess that all depends on if I have to have another C-section. I'm crossing my fingers that I can do a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) when I deliver my second child. I don't think I can have 5 c-sections.

How many kids do you have? 1 beautiful little boy!

What I love about Isaac: I love how he treats me with so much respect! I am definitely his number one. I love that he still opens doors for me and has always been such a gentlemen. I love that he loves to cuddle just like me! He's romantic, and goes out of his way to make me feel special. One of my favorite things is when he writes me love letters.

Things in common: We enjoy hiking, traveling (the few times we are able too), watching movies together, sharing the joys of parenthood, and just being with each other! I am sure the list could go on but that's all that I can think of right now.

Isaac is always by my side and he is my partner in every way! I love you sweetheart!
