Pumpkin carving

Isaac and I finally carved our pumpkins for Halloween. It was so much fun! I can't remember the last time that I carved a pumpkin. We got our designs from The Pumpkin Ladies website. I'm not sure what Dylan thought of the whole experience, but I think he though it was fun.

Here's the jack-o-lantern faces for Dylan's pumpkin. Close resemblance don't you think?

Isaac is hard at work making sure he does a good job on his pumpkin.

Dylan was so funny! He'd stick his fingers into a carved piece of pumpkin and then lick them off.

Here's our finished jack-o-lantern family. We did it!

Isaac couldn't resist carving this into the back of his pumpkin. He considered putting it on the front, but was worried that with the type of neighbors in our area, someone would smash it for sure!

Halloween pail

Last year I remembered thinking how cute my nephew trick-or-treating pails were, so I decided to try to replicate it. I am not as good at painting as I would like to be (perhaps I should have had Isaac do it) but I enjoyed making this for him.

That's how it looks fom all of the different angles.

Dylan's all set for toting all of his yummy treats for Halloween.

I couldn't resist adding this adorable picture of him that I took while I had my camera out.

So handsome!

Cousins

Last Friday we went to the Trunk-or-Treat, and I ended up getting so busy, that I forgot to take pictures. Isaac was out of town, but my awesome sister-in-law, Annie, came up with her kids and they spent the night with me as well. We had so much fun!

Here are the little boys jumping on the bed and having fun together!

I have no idea where my nephew Cole was while I was taking pictures because I didn't get one shot with him in it! But, I didn't want to leave him out, so, here is a picture of him at the ball field from a couple weeks ago!

Then, this past Monday, my cousin Carla, and her two kids, and my cousin Krista came up to visit. It was pretty cool because we were only lacking two other girl cousins on that side of my family (one being my sister Kimberly). I left my camera at home so, if you're interested in pictures, you'll have to wait and see what my sister, Kara posts on her blog.

We had so much fun recently hanging out with all of our different cousins!

Pumpkins, T-ing it up, and croup

A few weeks ago my sister-in-law, Annie, her younger two kids, Drew and Cole, Dylan, and I went up to Burt's Farms up in Dawsonville to experience their impressive pumpkins. I was completely blown away! They had a HUGE selection and their prices weren't too bad either. They had hay ride that was so nice because it was in a covered wagon (which made it cool) and there were no bails of hay (which didn't make you feel like you were going to fall out).

There were so may pumpkins I'm amazed that I was able to narrow it down to the three I took home.

These are from the hayride, and yes, those are two huge talking pumpkins!

Here are the wiped out boys on the drive home. Dylan fell asleep only five minutes before we got back to my place. So typical!
And here are our pumpkins. A big Daddy, Mommy, and baby pumpkin!

On Tuesday I went to my nephew, Drew's last T-ball game of the season. It was so cute to watch the kids out there playing. My favorite story about Drew playing T-ball was at his first game. When he hit his ball off of the T he started running for 1st, but when he saw the other kids trying to catch his ball, he went for it too! So, he ended up making it to home base carrying his own ball! How funny!

Dylan, the spectator.

Drew ready to hit a home run.

After a couple of attempts, SUCCESS!

Run, run, run!

Dylan wants to join in on the fun!

And, after the kids clear out, he does!

Lastly, a bit of sad news for Dylan, he has croup! But, I took him to the doctor today, and she prescribed some steroid medication that is supposed to make the inflammation go down. He has already started to make some improvements. Thank goodness! I hate top see him sick!

It's time to get crafty!

Okay, I have to brag on my recent projects. I went to my friends baby shower tonight and these are some of the things that I came up with.

Here is my cute card I made, which for my unexperienced level, I was pretty proud of!

This is the cute fabric (it's a flannel Mother Goose print) I used for my blanket and burp cloths that I made.
Here they are!

Lastly, I wanted to put in a plug for my sister, Kara. She has opened up an Etsy shop and a blog as well. Check it out! http://www.honeysuckledew.blogspot.com/
