Happy Birthday to Dylan

Wow! I can't believe that Dylan is already 2 years old! His birthday was on Saturday and this picture was taken of him 2 years ago on the day that he was born. I can't believe how much a difference two years makes. He is such a joy to us and he makes us smile and laugh daily.

This year we decided not to throw him a party but instead as a family we did a birthday celebration. Our theme this year was teddy bears, since he loves his Teddy and sleeps with him at night. I made Dylan a bear cake which considering this is my second attempt at decorating a cake, I was pretty proud of it.

For his birthday present he got a tricycle that flips into a big wheel. He also got a helmet that I think he likes just about as much as the tricycle. Excuse the bare chest, he had fallen asleep for his nap like that.

He drags it around and does not quite grasp the idea of using his feet to push the pedals. Although in his defense he can barely reach them.

Next we went to Build-a-Bear for Dylan's first time. He loved his teddy and kept on giving him kisses.

After we filled his teddy and he was sewn up, we gave him a bath.

Then we made him a birth certificate. We are so original, we named him Ted E. Bear but he shares Dylan's birthday so that was pretty cool.

Next we went to pick up his birth certificate and pay for him. We didn't get him (meaning his teddy) any clothes since the boy clothes just aren't as cute as the stuff that they have for girls.

Then we had some pizza at Chuck E. Cheese's (another first).

Then what is a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's without getting to play.

When we got home we sang Happy Birthday and had cake and ice cream.

Then this is my favorite because I have always been one to quote movies and the other day I heard Dylan doing Skeeter's ring tone from Bedtime Stories. I included the clip from the movie so you can compare the two.

He looks like he had a Happy Birthday--not too sure about you and Isaac singing, though. You did a great job on the cake!
